Biography of David Heron

In a pleasant, attractive brick residence in a desirable section of Boise City, are living to-day David Heron and wife, esteemed citizens and pioneers of Ada County. Mr. Heron has frequently served his neighbors and friends in official positions of much responsibility and trust, and has won their highest praise for the able and conscientious manner in which he discharged the duties resting upon him. For a period of two years he was the recorder and auditor of this County, for a similar length of time was the County assessor and during some six years was one of the commissioners

Biographical Sketch of D. Heron

D. Heron the third named member of the firm of Case, Bishop and Heron.He was born in Scotland in 1842; came to America with his parents when a child. In June, 1861, he enlisted in the army, in Company B, Fifth Iowa Volunteer Infantry; returned to Fairfield, Iowa, where he studied law, and was admitted to practice before Judge Sampson in Jasper County; held the office of superintendent of Jefferson County, Iowa; came to Jewell County, Kan., and was elected to the State Legislature, and now holds the said office.
