Biographical Sketch of T. B. Head, M. D.
Thomas Benton Head, born on May 2, 1832, in Randolph County, Missouri, received his medical education at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, graduating in 1859. He began his practice in Trenton, Missouri, before serving as an assistant surgeon in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Afterward, he settled in Daviess County, where he established a successful medical practice. Married to Bettie Patterson in 1859, he had three children before her death in 1869. Dr. Head’s career has been marked by notable success in his field.
