Fugit, Virgene Payton Hulse Mrs. – Obituary

Virgene Payton Fugit, 86, a life-time resident of Halfway, died July 22, 2009, with her husband Stan and her children and grandchildren by her side at St. Elizabeth Health Services. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, at 2 p.m. at the Halfway Lion’s Club. Pastor Bill Shields of Pine Valley Presbyterian Church will officiate. A reception will immediately follow the service. Private vault interment will be at Pine Haven Cemetery in Halfway. Virgene was born March 31, 1923, in Halfway to Charlie and Josie Bassett Hulse. Fugit, Blanche – Obituary

Well Known Woman Passed Away Last Monday Mrs. Blanche Fugit of Kalema, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Bellfield of this place, died in the hospital at La Grande, Monday morning of this week. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church and burial was made in the North Powder cemetery, the following afternoon. The immediate surviving relatives are the parents, the husband, a child of two and a babe one day old.
