Over a period of many years Mrs. Elizabeth Caroline Seymour Brown, early member of Linares Chapter, D.A.R., collected genealogy of her forebears. It was her wish that her work be sent to the library of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. This collection was painstakingly copied, with some additions and corrections, maintaining the same general form as used in the original notes. Elizabeth’s family originated in England moving to New England in the 1600’s. Her family lines involve many of the early lines in Connecticut, Massachusets, and New Hampshire. The families are arranged mostly in alphabetical order, and contain information from a simple direct line descendancy, to more elaborate genealogy.

Wallace Fairbank, born July 27, 1848, in St. Lawrence County, New York, served in the First Wisconsin Cavalry during the Civil War, where he sustained lasting injuries. After his discharge, he pursued various ventures, including buffalo hunting and farming across several states. By 1892, he settled in Old Town, Lagrande, where he and his wife, Jennie, established a successful poultry business, managing thousands of birds and a well-equipped facility. Fairbank is recognized as a respected figure in Union County.
George Lorenzo Fairbank, born in Cleveland on November 7, 1874, was a prominent merchant and businessman. He began his career as an office boy at Weidman-Holmes Co. and progressed through various roles, eventually becoming vice president of Struthers Furnace Co. and other companies. Fairbank was active in civic organizations and clubs, including the Sons of the American Revolution and the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce. He was married in 1894 and had two daughters, reflecting a life dedicated to both family and business.
