She served her master, who suffered from palsy, taking on responsibilities like caring for him. The routine began early each morning with the overseer’s bell signaling a return to labor.

Dr. Archie Earle Carder, born May 29, 1864, in Marshall, Texas, has served as a prominent physician and surgeon in Coweta, Oklahoma, for over two decades, making him the oldest practitioner in Wagoner County. After a varied career in business and public service, he graduated from Beaumont Hospital Medical College in 1901. Carder has significantly contributed to his community through his medical practice and public health roles. Married to Nettie Rowley, he is active in several organizations, including the Democratic Party and the Masons.

Carder, Mary Nell Isitt Midkiff Mrs. – Obituary

Mary Nell Carder, age 84, passed away on April 10, 2005, in Baker City. Born on June 11, 1920, in Elgin, she was married three times, having children with her first husband, Elmer Midkiff. Mary lived in several Oregon cities and worked in home care, waitressing, and running a bakery. She was active in her community and enjoyed gardening and embroidery. Preceded in death by her ex-husbands and daughter, she is survived by her son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
