Dorothy “Dottie” Lillian McGowan Burnaugh, 96, passed away on March 16, 2004, in Eureka, California. Born in Enterprise on August 4, 1907, she cherished her musical talents from childhood, excelling in piano and dance. After high school, she studied music and office skills, eventually becoming an executive secretary in San Francisco. Dottie married Terence McGowan in 1934 and later Samuel Burnaugh in 1953, with whom she shared artistic pursuits. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and a nephew. Memorial services were held on March 19, 2004.
