Bugelow

A. Bigelow was born in Wyoming County, New York, where he grew up before enlisting in the First New York Dragoons in 1862, serving for three years. In 1866, he moved to Clayton County, Iowa, to enter the liquor business. By 1870, he homesteaded 160 acres near Norfolk, Iowa, later improving and renting the farm. In 1875, Bigelow relocated to Norfolk, where he continued his involvement in the liquor industry and became an agent for Krugs Omaha Beer.
