The deceased was born in this city and had resided here the greater part of his life. The cause of his death was cancer of the face, and he had been a constant sufferer for the past several years. It is Andrews descendants who are featured in the manuscript.

Elgin, Union County, Oregon Fatal Accident Boy Accidentally Killed by Wheel of Logging Wagon Roy Bay, son of Wm. Bay, who is engaged in hauling logs for Shockley’s mill, west of town, was instantly killed Monday evening by one wheel of the heavily-laden wagon driven by his father passing over his body. Roy, who was thirteen years old, was assisting his father in his work of logging, was sitting on the load, manipulating the brake-rope when a sudden jolt threw him to the ground, the wheel passing over his left side killing him instantly.
