Biographical Sketch of W. A. Barrett
W. A. Barrett, born to Luther in Stoddard, moved to Keene in 1856 and began working in brick-making with H. Pond Co. He became a partner in 1857 and operated the business alone starting in 1882, aside from a three-year break. A veteran of the Union Army, he served in Co. G, 14th N. H. Vols. Barrett also held the position of selectman in Keene and married Maria Fradenburg on October 23, 1850, having six children together.
