Dies in Madras
Robert Francis Suydam, 41 of Madras, Ore., died there Sunday, Sept 3. He was an employee of the First National Bank and formerly lived in La Grande.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Crippin and Daniels Funeral Chapel under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. Rev. Clarence Kopp will officiate and burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in La Grande.
Suydam was born in La Grande in 1926 and had lived here most of his lifetime. He married Beverley Bull in La Grande on Dec. 3, 1954. He served in the Korean War and was a member of the Episcopal Church and Mt. Mariah Lodge No. 35 of Condon, Ore.
He is survived by the widow, Beverley Suydam of Madras, a son, Roger L.; a daughter, Sharon M., both of Madras; his mother, Mrs. Bernice Ansotegui of Boise, Ida.; a grandmother, Mrs. Frank Suydam of La Grande; and a sister, Barbara J. Parker of Joseph.
