Dies in Madras Robert Francis Suydam, 41 of Madras, Ore., died there Sunday, Sept 3. He was an employee of the First National Bank and formerly lived in La Grande. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the Crippin and Daniels Funeral Chapel under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. Rev. Clarence Kopp will officiate and burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in La Grande. Suydam was born in La Grande in 1926 and had lived here most of his lifetime. Pastor Nordmark was well- known to members of First Lutheran Church in Baker City where he served as interim pastor for a period of time on two separate occasions.
