Edna Motley, 87, 1500 Valley Ave., a former longtime Pine Valley resident, died Wednesday morning, April 1, 1981, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital after a long illness.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Valley Presbyterian Church in Halfway. The Rev. Sidney Sandusky will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Motley was born Jan. 6, 1894, in Union, the daughter of Egbert and Emma Mehlhorn Coffinberry. She was educated in Halfway and was married to Charles Motley in Halfway on June 7, 1923. Mr. Motley preceded her in death on July 31, 1977. They farmed in Pine Valley for many years. After retirement she moved to Baker, where she lived for the past 10 years.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Halfway, a longtime member of the Rebekah Lodge in Halfway and a longtime member of the Pine Cone Club.
Survivors include a niece, Wanda Gentry of Ontario; two sister-in-laws, Verna Coffinberry of Ontario and Elizabeth Hetherington of Klamath Falls, and one grand nephew.
She also was preceded in death by a brother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Grays West & Co. Pioneer Chapel.
