John Albert, beloved son of J.W. and Clara (Gilkison) Maharry. He was born May 20, 1897 on Wolfe Creek and died of pneumonia at the Baker Hospital September 10th (?), 1917.
For a young man whose tenure of life had reached so short a span his achievements were remarkable.
Idolized by his family, loved by his friends, respected for his honor and integrity by the whole community, his passing leaves a vacancy not easily filled.
Besides the father and mother, four sisters, one brother, numerous relatives and a large circle of admiring friends are left to mourn his loss.
