Verna Jean Norris, age 69, of Baker City, passed away Friday, March 22nd at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Norris will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at 2:00 p.m. in the Monroe Mortuary Chapel. Mr. Blaine Kenney of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate and interment will follow in the North Powder Cemetery. John Albert, beloved son of J.W. and Clara (Gilkison) Maharry. He was born May 20, 1897 on Wolfe Creek and died of pneumonia at the Baker Hospital September 10th (?), 1917.
