Last Rites Held For Art Haggerty.
Memorial services were held from the Booth-Bollman Funeral chapel Monday, February 11 at 3:00 p.m., for Arthur C. Haggerty, who passed away at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital Thursday, February 7, following an illness of short duration. Rev. John Munsey officiated with Mrs. George Swanson of Wallowa singing “In The Garden” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”. Mrs. Garnet Best was at the organist. Pall bearers were: Fred Wagner, Ervan Witty, Ed Long, W.M. White, Wayne Reece and Claude Rennie. Vault internment was in the Enterprise cemetery.
Arthur C. Haggerty was born October 31, 1887 at Cove, Oregon, the son of Leverett Haggerty and Celestial Etna, and for the past 55 years had been a resident of Wallowa County. June 15, 1915 he was united in marriage to Nettie Beem of Enterprise, and since that time the couple had engaged in farming near Enterprise.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie; son, Vaughn; daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Eloise) Cornwell of Enterprise; one brother, A. W. Haggerty of Enterprise; four sisters, Lottie Bullock, of Lewiston, Idaho; Eva Varnadoe of Nampa, Idaho; Alta Weathers of Enterprise; Pearl Smith of Portland; and 1 granddaughter, Judy Cornwell.
