Jean Fleetwood, 74 of Casper, Wyo., and a former Baker and Unity resident died Jan. 15, 2004, at Wyoming Medical Center.
At his request, no funeral services will be held.
Jean Fleetwood was born Jan. 23, 1929, in Baker. He was the son of James Orville and Leona (Shepard) Fleetwood; and was raised and educated in Unity and Baker.
A board-certified prothetist and orthotist, he graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles. On Feb. 14, 1965, he married Thelma Webb in Winnemucca, Nev. They moved to Casper in 1970 and he established Fleetwood Limb and Brace Co.
His interests included spending winters in California and summers at “Fleet’s Inn” in Alcova; and having morning coffee with his friends at the Parkway Plaza.
He was a member of the Elks, Casper Mountain Lions, Casper Boat and Casper Shrine clubs.
Survivors include six children, Tom, Larry, Doug, Sam, Marie and Russell; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and sister, Jo and her family of Prineville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife in July 2002, after 37 years of marriage.
Memorials may be made to Casper Shrine Club or the American Cancer Society.
