Funeral services for Donald “Don” F. Emele, 2750 Myrtle Street, 54, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at The Beatty Chapel.
The Rev. James Berentson will officiate with concluding services in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Emele was born May 30, 1914, at Baker, Oregon, the son of Elmer A. and Elsie Sams Emele, and attended schools in Baker. After his schooling, he worked for the Union Pacific R. R. Co., was a truck driver for a Co-op in Walla Walla, Washington, worked in the shipyards in Portland, Oregon, during World War II, and had been an employee of the Ellingson Lumber Company for the past seventeen years.
After the death of his wife, Dorothy Dixon Emele, October 1, 1954, he was married to Georgene White, November 8, 1958, in Baker. Mr. Emele passed away Monday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness of one month.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgene Emele, Baker; his son, Richard Emele,, Baker; grandson, Richard Emele Jr., Baker; brothers, Alfred Emele, Portland, Ore., and Harry Emele, Baker; sisters, Nelda Emele, Portland, Ore., Barbara Emele, The Dalles, Ore., and Dorothy Boyer, Telluride, Colorado.
