Jacqueline Marie “Jackie” April, 75, of Baker City, died Oct. 7, 2005, at La Grande, Oregon.

By her wishes, there will be no memorial or funeral service. Coles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jackie was born on July 16, 1930, at Baker City to Edward Alvin Davis and Hattie Meyers Davis of North Powder. She grew up at North Powder, where her grandparents, John Samuel and Susan Dealy Davis, homesteaded. She was married to Louis Norman April, on July 20, 1968.

Jackie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louie; two sisters, Susie and Joyce; and a son, Albert Hingst.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Robinson of Omaha, Neb., Theresa April of Crabtree and Terri Nichols of Baker City; three sons; two brothers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice through Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St., Baker City, OR 97814.
