Collins, Bonnie Jean Arriola Mrs. – Obituary

Bonnie Jean Collins, 55, Vale, Ore., died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, in a Boise hospital.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Valley View Cemetery. Services were arranged by Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel, Vale, Ore.

Bonnie was born on Feb. 1, 1951, in Ontario, Ore., daughter of Segundo and Edna Edmunson Arriola.

She graduated from Burnt River High School in 1969 and later attended Treasure Valley Community College, graduating in 1971. She later attended Eastern Oregon State College where she graduated in 1988.
In 1971, she married Joe Collins. They had one daughter, Vikki Lynne. Joe passed away in 1982.

Bonnie worked for the Bureau of Land Management until her retirement in 1994. After retirement she worked for the Malheur Enterprise from 1995 until 1998. In 1989, she married William L. Ross. She enjoyed raising calves and loved her ‘bottle babies.’ Bonnie was living the life she loved to the end. She enjoyed quilting, puttering around outside, planting roses wherever she could.

She was always surrounded by her dogs and cats.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Bill Ross; daughter, Vikki; two step daughters, Chelsey and Rachelle; three grandchildren; parents, Segundo and Edna Arriola; two brothers, Pat Arriola and Joe Arriola; and numerous nieces and nephews.
