About three miles from Herford on the Fred Boyer ranch, there is a small burial plot. It is two miles off State Highway No. 7 (Unity Highway) and on the opposite side of Burnt River.
Thomas Boyer donated the land for this small cemetery. To reach it you take a dirt road at Hereford, cross to the south side of the river and turn to the west. This is a family plot, it is fenced and is cared for by family members.
Buried here are the following:
Boyer, Charley d. 1890; aged 19; d. of typhoid fever.
Boyer, Ed d. 1896; shot himself over the spurning of a you miss; date may be 1898.
Frazee, Mrs. Dave Buried about 1909.
Watkins, Florence d. of the whooping cough; aged 3 mos; daughter of James & Maggie.
Watkins, James Husband of Maggie; buried outside of the fence.
Our thanks to the Baker Family History Center for allowing us to use their copies of these cemetery records.
