Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon
Rhoda Minerva Walls was born in Raleigh County, West Virginia, Nov. 13, 1865. She departed this life 7:30 a. m. Feb. 8, 1931, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Henderson, at the age of 65 years 2 months and 26 days.
She was united in marriage to J. J. Trump Feb. 2, 1888. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1900. To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters, Oakey and Speed Trump of Wallowa, Beecher Trump of Choico, Mrs. J. W. Henderson and Mrs. Emett Cramer of Enterprise, all of whom were at her bedside during her last illness.
Jan. 18, 1927, she was united in marriage to Joner Trump, a brother of her former husband. She was bereaved of his companion five and one-half months after their marriage, when he was killed in a railroad accident.
Besides the children she left to mourn her loss, 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild, 3 brothers and 2 sisters: James and French Walls and Mrs. H. J. Trump of West Virginia, L.J Walls of Flora and Mrs. J.J. Hawley of La Grande; also a niece, Mrs. Lawrence Fagen of Enterprise, whom she reared. The bereaved family has the sympathy of many friends.
