Sailed for Bordeaux June 9, 1918. Promoted to rank of Corpl. Feb. 22, 1918, to Sergt. May, 1918. Fought at Meuse-Argonne, where he was gassed. Sent to F. Hosp. No. 97 and Base Hospital No. 12. Landed in USA March 19, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Lee, Va., April 4, 1919.
