Entered service Aug. 4, 1917, at New Bern, N.C. Sent to Camp Lee, Va. Transferred to Norfolk, Va. Sailed for France May 26, 1918. Promoted to rank of Sergt. Oct., 1917. Fought at St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, Verdun. Returned to USA June 1, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Lee, Va., June 10, 1919.
