Transferred to Camp Jackson, S. C., to Camp Wheeler. Sailed for France June 12, 1918. Promoted to rank of 2nd Lt. Aug. 15, 1917; 1st Lt. Feb. 12, 1919. Fought at St. Mihiel, Cambrai Hill, Argonne. Returned to USA March 11, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Lee, Va., April 1, 1919.
