Memorial Services Held At Lostine Memorial services for Berkeley Caudle who passed away at Wallowa Memorial hospital Wednesday, Saturday 22, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Christian church in Lostine, under the direction of the Booth-Bollman Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert John officiated. With Miss Martha Crow at the piano, Mrs. Orval McArtor sang “Under His Wings”, and she and Melvin Crow sang “Beyond The Sunset.” Pallbearers were Wm. E. Wallowa, Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. Martha Jane Reagan, age 76 years, died at her home in Wallowa, Saturday evening. She was buried Monday in the Lower Valley cemetery, Rev. Jasper Bogue officiated. Mrs. Reagan had lived in Wallowa and vicinity for 37 years. In August she fell and hurt herself and was confined to her bed until death. Wallowa County Reporter Thursday November 28, 1918.

She and her mother often acted as house sitters for homesteaders along the Snake River and as a teenager she worked as a cook in sheep camps and on cattle ranches. Mr. G.T. Fairchild received the sad news last Friday evening that his son, Lewis, had died at 6:45 that morning in a hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
