His father, Dr. Alexander Fulcher, was born in Richmond, Va., 1791; was a soldier in the war of 1812, and died at this place in 1853., He was the son of Philip Fulcher, of Virginia, who served seven years in the war of Independence, and died about 1828. THOMAS P. DANCE, Trenton, was born October 15, 1822, in Simpson County, Ky., where he grew to manhood. He removed to Logan County in 1850, and to Todd County, his present place of residence, in 1882. CHARLES M. POWELL was born March 19, 1823, in Todd County. He is a son of Levi and Nancy (Brewer) Powell. The father was born in North Carolina; he died in 1856, aged seventy. W. H. SALMON was born September 14, 1844, in Todd County. He is a son of Capt. William and E. P. (Cobb) Salmon, parents both born in Virginia; they came to Todd County in about 1829. The father died in 1847. Our subject was raised on his mother’s farm. She died in February, 1880, leaving three children: America A., John and William IL, who was married April 20, 1882, to Miss Sallie Bell, of Arkansas. One son gladdens their home-David B.
