Biographical Sketch of William E. Worsham
William E. Worsham, born on February 19, 1850, in Indiana, moved to Coles County, Illinois, in 1865 with his family. After his father’s death in 1877 and mother’s in 1879, he assisted in farming and later took up teaching. In 1873, he settled on his 150-acre land in Morgan Township, one of the area’s first improved sites. He married Martha V. Collins, an early pioneer’s daughter, on December 13, 1873, and they had one son, William Watson Worsham, born January 4, 1875.
