Lostine, Wallowa County, Oregon Ida Fisher, of Lostine, died Jan. 6, 1963 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Susan and John Graham, she was born in Elgin on July 25, 1890. In 1958 she married Guy Fisher in La Grande, Oregon, who survives her. She was a member of the Christian Church and Lostine Rebekah Lodge No. 158. George Bartholomew Cook, who has been engaged in the operation of the ranch on which he now resides in the Wallowa valley for nearly thirty years, is one of the well known pioneers in the vicinity of Lostine. He was born in Polk County, Oregon, on the 27th of February 1862, and is the son of Thomas L. and Harriet (Jacobs) Cook. Lostine, Wallowa County, Oregon Charles Crawford Womack, 76, died about 8 a. m . Saturday about four miles southwest of Lostine while deer hunting, apparently from a heart attack. He had had a heart ailment for several years. Womack had gone out deer hunting and had shot a doe about a hundred yards from his car. He had not dressed out the animal and had fallen about five feet from the deer where he was found by Elzie Makin and his son. Nellie Maud (Fisher) Ward Nell Fisher Ward, a lifetime resident of Wallowa CO., died April 26, 1981, at Wallowa Memorial hospital. She was 80 years old. The daughter of Hiram and Emma Rundall Fisher, she was born Sept. 18, 1902 in Lostine. On March 14, 1923, she married Landy Orlando Ward in Enterprise. Joseph, Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. Vic Crow Fatally Injured in Auto Crash Mrs. Victor M. Crow was instantly killed Saturday evening when the Crow car met with a violent accident as they were on their way to the basketball tournament in Wallowa. The accident occurred about three-quarters of a mile west of Lostine. Mrs. Crow apparently died from severe head injuries. The automobile was completely demolished. Word reached Floyd Leonard Monday that his aunt, Mrs. Horatio W. Cole, had passed away at her home in San Jose, California, February 23. She had been seriously ill about ten days.
