Mary Blanch Loudermilk, 96, of La Grande, died at a local care center Sept. 23. A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mary was born on Nov. 3, 1910, to Jay Nutin and Stella Magdeline (Vaughon) Brown in Beaumont, Texas. She married Willard Jess Loudermilk Feb. 2, 1931, in Los Angeles. They had three children. She moved to La Grande from Bend in 1950. Summerville, Union County, Oregon Emra Slack, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Burr Slack, of Summerville, died at the Grande Ronde hospital at 4 o’clock this morning. He was brought to La Grande suffering from pneumonia, an aftermath of influenza, a week ago Monday. The decedent’s father, who with the mother and several brothers and sisters, left the hospital the day Emra was taken there for treatment.
