Keating, Oregon Allen W. Jury, known to all as “Al,” 82, a lifelong rancher, died Feb. 1, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center of heart disease. There will be a memorial service in honor of his life in the spring. Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Al was born and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area town of Hayward, Calif. He married his high school sweetheart, Lila Estell, at Reno, Nev., in 1941. Taylor and daughter, Della, who were also riding in the car, were uninjured. Fall From Horse Fatal For Boy James David Wirth, 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Wirth of Keating, died at the Protestant hospital at Baker Saturday from the effects of a fall from a horse at his farm home Wednesday. The lad was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident. His injuries did not at first appear to be serious but because of his weak condition due to a recent operation he failed to rally from the shock.
