Lostine resident, Rena Bork, died Oct 4, 1987 at her home. She was 95. Rena was born at Anatone, Wash., on Sept. 24, 1892, the daughter of David Jacob and Mary Melvina Cross Miller. She lived most of her girlhood on the Grande Ronde River, just a short distance from the Oasis. Her parents farmed a ranch on Buford Ridge. She went to the Star school and worked for the Bakers who operated the store at Flora. On Oct. 17, 1909 Rena married Rudolph Bork at Flora. He had a homestead on Day Ridge. Flora, Oregon Jack Randall Duggan, 81, of Flora died March 28, 2008. After he returned from serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, he married Nadine. From that marriage there are three children: Sandra Tucker (Irvin), Kathleen Bush (Jim) and Chris Duggan (Koni Murrill). In 1990, he married Karen, who survives him, as well as his three children; two step-children, Tom Miller and Kelly Kinney; sister Ruth Gioux; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
