Botts, Neva May – Obituary

Mrs. Neva May Botts 66, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Hospital after suffering a heart attack outside the Lewiston Eagles Hall at 1304 Main St. She had just emerged from the lodge hall with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bull when she slumped to the sidewalk. She was rushed to the hospital, where a doctor and Wilfred J Duclos, Nez Prece County coroner pronounced her dead at 1:37 A.M. The doctor said she had suffered a coronary occlusion and was dead when she hit the sidewalk. The Bulls with whom she had attended the club said she had danced frequently … Read more

Evans of Flora, was born May 16, 1907, and passed away July 3, 1937, at the Enterprise hospital at the age of 30 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Lee E. Flora Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. R. A. Bork passed away at her home north of Flora, Tuesday Evening at 4:50, Nov. 13, 1934. After an illness of 4 days. Bertha Treptow was born in Rinefield Germany, April 3, 1852. She was united in marriage to Rudolph Bork, January 26, 1872. They resided in Germany 13 years, then crossed the Atlantic and moved to Westside, Iowa, where they made their home 7 years before coming to Oregon in 1891. Enterprise, Oregon Henry T. Skaggs was born in Indiana, Sept. 13, 1848, and died at his home in Enterprise on Dec. 25, 1920, aged 72 years, 3 months and 7 days. When a young man he moved to Missouri, and soon afterward to Madison, Kansas, where on Sept. 18, 1881, he was married to Miss Effie Martin. Joseph, Oregon Violet Effie Conaway, 88, of McMinnville, died April 15, 2004, at home. She was born Oct. 3, 1915, in Flora to Roy and Bessie Varney. Mrs. Conaway spent most of her growing up years on Upper Prairie Creek and graduated from Joseph High School. After marrying James B. Conaway in 1938, the couple moved to La Grande a few years later where she worked as a high school secretary, followed by a move to McMinnville in 1950. Edna Blanche, daughter of Andrew and Francis Forbes was born October 3, 1899 at Flora, and passed away June 20 after many years of illness.
