Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Another Old Settler Passes To Eternal Home W.S. Dishman, an early settler of this county, well remembered by all the older residents, and father of Mrs. George S. Craig of this city, died at Whittier, Cal., Tuesday night, September 12, of illness due to old age, for he was in his 89th year. La Grande, April 30–Elmer G. Emmons, 39 president of La Grande aerie No. 259, Fraternal Order of Eagles, died unexpectedly in a local hospital Wednesday night. Funeral services are announced for Saturday morning, conducted by the lodge, with interment at Baker. Emmons was born at Enterprise and had lived here for 15 years. Survivors include the wife, Esther M. Emmons, and three sons, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Emmons, and a sister, Mrs. Erma Morrison, all of Baker.

Mr. Beach was born May 9, 1951, in Enterprise to Norman Dale and Dolores Alice Perren Beach. He was raised on the William J. Beach Century Farm in northeast Oregon. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Jesse Pelum Garrett passed away at the Walowa County hospital Sunday morning. He was taken to the hospital Saturday after his hip had been broken in a fall on Main Street. He was knocked to the sidewalk when some boys, who were wrestling, bumped into him.
