Cove, Union County, Oregon Mrs. Elizabeth L. Gauthier, 93, a retired homemaker of Cove, died Tuesday, August 22, following a short illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 28, 1972, at the United Methodist Church at 10:30 a. m. with Rev. Dudley V. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Cove Cemetery. Elizabeth L. Gauthier was born in Osakis County, Minn. on Sept. 21, 1878, the daughter or John and Alive Vanschoonhoven. Cove, Union County, Oregon County Pioneer, Called Beyond Jabez J. Conley, Union County pioneer, died at his residence in La Grande at 2 o’clock this morning. His health had been failing for several months. Funeral services will be held at the Snodgrass & Zimmerman mortuary at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Vivian May) Mytinger, 81, who died Friday at her home near Pendleton, will be Tuesday with Folsoms’ Funeral Chapel in charge. Notice is on page 4 today. Cove, Union County, Oregon Mr. A.J. Foster of the Cove, died at his home Thursday evening at 8:15 o’clock. He had been in poor health the past year, suffering with a bronchial affection which ultimately caused his death. He was 60(?) years of age. Found the Body of Rynearson C.M. Riddle and A.P. Evans were working along the bank of the Grande Ronde River, on Wednesday forenoon repairing an irrigating ditch and discovering a piece of cloth in the water, this attracted their attention for they knew their old neighbor A.W.
