They were the parents of: Clare, Thomas, Catherine, Paralee, Pollie, Susie and Nellie Adkirson. Mr. Adkirson married Nancy Jane Phillips nee Stephens. They are the parents of Jasper Adkirson. Mrs. Meigs died January 15, 1895. They were the parents of Caroline Few, Annie Stapler, Robert Henry, James McDonald, Alice Maud, and Josephine L. Meigs. Mr. Meigs who served in the Confederate Service in 1861-2, is a grandson of Chief John Ross, has many of the amiable traits of his distinguished ancestor.
