Daryl was born on Sept. 18, 1921, in Port Carbon, Penn., to William and Laura Goodwin Holtzer. She was raised in Port Carbon and graduated from Port Carbon High School in 1939. Funeral services for Carl Dean Savage, former Haines resident who died at his home in Yreka, California July 21, were held here Sunday.
