Funeral Services For Armintia A. Sturm Paradise, Oregon Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Paradise for Mrs. Armintia A. Sturm who passed away at her home there Sunday, May 26, 1940. E.E. Callahan, pastor of the Enterprise Christian church, was in charge of the services, and interment was in the Paradise cemetery beside her husband and son. Pall bearers were Albert Wilson, William Curry, Doc Shelton, B.D. Beach, William Frazier and Baley Shelton. Esther Heggie Long, 88, a life-long resident of Baker City, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Settler’s Park in Baker City. Grave side services for Mrs.Long were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker City. Bob Harrison of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints conducted. Mrs. Nevada Wood Stricken By Death Mrs. Nevada Wood, aged 70, resident of Baker county intermittently for more than 30 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.H. Myers, in North Powder at 7:30 o’clock Monday morning. She was the victim of a heart attack and died while dressing. Keith Carol Keithley, 76. formerly of Midvale, passed away on Saturday, June 18 in Moses Lake. Washington. He was born at Weiser on June 28, 1928 to Claude F. Keithley and Agnes Pickett Keithley. Calvin Hugh Whitnah (1938-2008) of Richland, Idaho, passed away at his home on August 10, 2008, at the age of 70. Born on June 6, 1938, in Rupert, Idaho, to Harvey Marshall and Clarice Ann (Harwood) Whitnah, Calvin spent his early years in Richland, where he was active in 4-H and sports. He married Emma Louise Koch on May 17, 1959, in New Meadows, Idaho. A diesel mechanic by trade, Calvin worked for major trucking companies and the State of Oregon. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held on August 15, 2008, at the LDS Chapel in Halfway.
