Richard A. Savage, 72, a former Baker City resident, died April 13, 2007, after a 14-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease. His memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church at Allen, Texas. Richard was born in 1935 at Walla Walla, Wash., to “Spud” and Nan Savage. He was the oldest of five children. He was a 1954 Baker High School graduate and attended Eastern Oregon College (now Eastern Oregon University) at La Grande where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
