Cassell, Clyde Melvin – Obituary

Clyde Melvin Cassell, 66, passed away at his Mason Lake home on April 21. Born in Baker City, Ore., he graduated from Baker High School and earned a B.S. in Forest Engineering from Oregon State University before serving in Vietnam. He had a long career in the timber industry, retiring from Weyerhaeuser in 2002. Clyde was a devoted community member, passionate about lake restoration and caring for animals. He is survived by his sister, nephew, niece, and many friends. A memorial will be held on July 24.

Flynn, Catherine Mrs. – Obituary

Mrs. Catherine Flynn, aged 64, of Nampa, Idaho, tragically lost her life in a car accident on Sunday afternoon while returning home with her husband. Their vehicle overturned after hitting loose gravel while attempting to pass another car, resulting in her instantaneous death. Mr. Flynn sustained minor injuries. Catherine’s body was transported to Boise for burial. This incident was reported in the North Powder News on Saturday, June 27, 1925.
