Huela V. McKenzie, 79, of Baker City, died Dec. 27, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Health Services. No service is planned at this time. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Heiple and her husband, Ed, of John Day, Kathy McClure of Pendleton and Linda Witherrite of Hillsboro; and two sons, Ronald McKenzie of Dayton, Wash., and Randall McKenzie of Pendleton. Leston Earl “Les” Halley, 71, of Pendleton died Jan. 23, 2003, of natural causes. There will be a military graveside service for him at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Haven Cemetery in Halfway.
