Andy Stenberg, 23, of Boise, a former Baker County resident, died Feb. 10, 2008, at Boise in a motor vehicle crash.
His memorial service will be at 10 a.m. MST Saturday at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road in Boise.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1984, at Boise to Keith and Vikki Stenberg, along with his twin sister, Kendall. He spent his earliest years at Eagle, Idaho. The family moved to Swan Falls, Idaho, then Hagerman, Idaho, and then to Oxbow in Hells Canyon.
Andy attended Pine-Eagle schools from kindergarten through high school. He was a 2003 Pine-Eagle High School graduate.
After high school, Andy moved back to Boise and went to work for Idaho Sand and Gravel as a heavy equipment operator. After just a short time, he entered the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local No. 296, and began an apprenticeship program that he enjoyed and excelled in.
“There are no words to express the amount of heart and intensity Andy led his entire life with,” his family members said.
“His love, his heart, his eyes, his smile, his entire aura was magnetic and he was loved by countless people,” they said.
He was an Eagle Scout, an accomplished outdoorsman, a loving father and husband, a valued brother to many, and a true friend to all he met. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, his family said.
Survivors include his grandparents, Osborn and Shirley Stenberg and Bill and Bobbi Dunn; parents Keith and Vikki Stenberg; his wife, Elizabeth, and stepdaughter, Emily; twin sister, Kendall, and her husband, Josh Myers; brother, Matt, and his wife, Lydia; nephew, Trygg; and much more extended family.
