Terence Keith “T.K.” Moody died peacefully at his home on Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, with his family by his side. Memorial services are pending. He was born on March 28, 1933, in Baker City. He is survived by his two daughters, Sherry Moody of Boise and Dana Moody Becker of Las Vegas, Nev. He has one grandson, Max. His sisters, Bev and Pat, and brother, Jerry, and their families will dearly miss him. He was a 20-year resident of Alaska and was an avid hunter and fisherman. William Edward “Bill” Laird, 66, of Baker City, died April 16, 2005, at his home after a long bout with brain cancer. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Bill was born on Nov. 15, 1938, at Ketchikan, Alaska, to Ruth and Edward Laird, who was an engineer with the Lighthouse Service, now the Coast Guard. Bill’s mother died when he was a baby and he was mostly raised by his stepmother, Anna Laura Laird. The family moved to California when Bill was 5, followed by several other moves around the country.…

Sylvia Talich, 95, of Phoenix, Ariz., a former longtime Baker City resident died May 23, 2005, at her home. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Agape Christian Center at 650 Highway 7. Richland, Oregon Nola Dehlin, 75, of Richland, died Oct. 25, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Health Services. Her funeral will be Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Jacksonville, Ill. Nola Aileen Dehlin was born on Dec. 5, 1928, at Morgan County, Ill., to Milford Collier and Bertha Lee Leeper Brummett. Nola was raised and educated in Morgan County. She married her loving husband, Richard, at Anchorage, Alaska, in 1958. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Oakland Temple of the LDS Church.
