Weber, Robert Cass – Obituary

Robert Cass “Bob” Weber, 56, of Baker City, died Sept. 13, 2009, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise after a sudden illness.

There will be a memorial service and a celebration of Bob’s life at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Baker City Community Event Center, 2600 East St. Pastor Scott Knox of the Blue Mountain Baptist Church will officiate.

Friends are invited to join the family for a reception and to continue sharing stories about Bob after the service at the home of Margaret Morris at 1995 15th St.

Bob was a 1973 Baker High School graduate. In September of 1977, Bob and his high school sweetheart, Coby, were married at Baker City. Bob was a longtime employee of Baker Sanitary.

He loved the outdoors, snowboarding, hunting, and the mountain lodge he was always working on. Bob loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed many other hobbies including radio-controlled cars and planes. He enjoyed sharing his hobbies with Paul Kiss and Tom Lager and numerous other close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Theda Bordeaux and by his father, Vance L. Weber.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Coby Weber; brothers, Wes Weber of Washington State, Rus Weber of Hermiston and John Weber of Portland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Cancer Society through Tami’s Pine Valley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 543 Halfway, OR.
