Biographical Sketch of J. P. Kinnison and H. A. Kinnison
J.P. and H.A. Kinnison, born in 1838 and 1840 near St. Louis, embarked on a pioneering journey in 1853, settling first in San Mateo, California. They became early agricultural and stock-raising innovators in the Powder River Valley. In 1876, they successfully drove cattle to Wyoming. Now residing near Baker City, Oregon, they own 1,800 acres of land and enjoy the fruits of their labor. J.P. has been married twice, with his current wife managing their household of seven children.
