Biography of W. L. Munroe
W. L. Munroe, born on August 1, 1860, in Mount Pleasant Township, has spent his life in the area, where he farms a ninety-six-acre property. His father, O. C. Munroe, a Vermont native, was a pioneer settler in Racine County. After attending local schools, W. L. began farming independently after a year of working on his father’s farm. Married to Edith J. Bartlett in 1884, they have three children. He is politically active, supporting the Republican Party and contributing to local governance as a school board member.
