Dezell J. Hopkins, 77, died at the hospital Wednesday afternoon [March 11]. He had been taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon. He had been taken to the hospital only the day before but had been ill for a much longer period from cancer of the liver.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at nine o’clock from the Lee-Perry Undertaking Parlors and burial in the local cemetery.
Mr. Hopkins was a well-known resident of this community for the past 18 years and had many friends. He is survived by a daughter, who with a niece and a grandson, all of Spokane came for the funeral.
