William Elmer Fuson: eldest son of Jonathan A. and Martha Jane Fuson was born July 21, 1873 on a farm in the Little Creek community and died May 2, 1948 in Hartville. He made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Little Creek Baptist Church. After moving to Hartville, he placed his membership with the Hartville Baptist Church. Born Jan. 17, 1888, at Thera, to William and Tressa Lee, pioneers of this area, she spent her entire lifetime in the Colfax area except for a few years at The Dalles, Ore. Mrs. Ida Raymond aged 49 of Kalotus who died in Colfax, Friday September 14 [1923], was buried Saturday afternoon at Colfax. Services were held at the Baptist Church at 2:30. Rev. W. P. William M. Lee, who came to Whitman County in 1872 from Walla Walla, died at his home in this city Tuesday evening [June 16, 1925], surrounded by his wife and four surviving children. He suffered an attack of pneumonia about two weeks ago and due to his advanced age of 77 years the after effects proved fatal.
