Doustioni Tribe
The Doustioni Tribe, historically situated near the Red River in Louisiana, was likely connected to the Natchitoches and Yatasi tribes, forming part of the Caddo confederacy. Noted by Joutel in 1687 as allies of the Kadohadacho, they faced a nomadic existence for several years. In 1714, they relocated to join the Natchitoches, returning to agriculture. By 1719, their population had dwindled to around 150, residing near a French post. Today, any descendants may be integrated with the Caddo in Oklahoma.
