Ascahcutoner Tribe
The Ascahcutoner Indians, noted by Balbi in 1826, are classified within the Sioux-Osage family and are believed to have some connection to the Teton tribes. However, their precise identity remains unclear. The suffix of their name may indicate a relation to the Kutenai.
