Westenskow, Carol – Obituary

Carol Westenskow, 83, of Salt Lake City and formerly of La Grande, passed away on January 6. Born in Provo, Utah, she graduated from Brigham Young University and married Ronald Westenskow in 1944. They raised five children in Union County. An active member of the LDS Church, she contributed to the county extension program and 4-H, and enjoyed traveling. Survived by her children and grandchildren, she was known for documenting her family’s life and was described as cheerful and friendly. A funeral service is scheduled for January 13.

Westenskow, Kenneth R. – Obituary

Kenneth R. Westenskow, 72, of Roseville, Calif., passed away on December 31. Born on March 29, 1934, in Imbler, he grew up in La Grande, where he attended local schools and graduated from Eastern Oregon College in 1957. A dedicated educator in the Roseville School District for 37 years, he also achieved recognition in business. His family includes his wife Joan, three children, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, with funeral services on Monday followed by burial in Roseville Cemetery.

Westenskow, Ronald W. – Obituary

Ronald Wilford Westenskow, 87, of Walla Walla and formerly of Imbler, passed away on October 24. A private graveside service was held, followed by a memorial at Herring Funeral Home. Born on March 13, 1922, in Imbler, he served as a naval officer in the South Pacific during World War II and later contributed significantly to the grass seed and mint-growing industries in the Grande Ronde Valley. He is survived by his wife, Audrey, five children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
